Hiroshima atomic bomb damage. 1945.

On Monday, August 6, 1945 the nuclear bomb "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima by an American B-29 bomber, directly killing an estimated 80,000 people (click HERE to view BEFORE and AFTER bombing maps).  It exploded with an energy of 16 kilotons of TNT. Approximately 69% of the city's buildings were completely destroyed, and another 7% severely damaged.
